This Saturday, 26 February 2022, a contract was signed about the rehabilitation, modernisation and extension of the Melchior Ndadaye International Airport.<\/p>\n

This contract was signed between the Republic of China, represented the Chinese Ambassador to Burundi and the Government of Burundi via the minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Albert Shingiro.<\/p>\n

In a press release that followed the conclusion of that contract, Minister Shingiro indicated that the rehabilitation activities will be conducted by Chinese ingeniors and financed by the same country.<\/p>\n

The two authorities explained that the contract was signed in the perspective of reinforcing bilateral relations already strong between the two countries.<\/p>\n
