Good News for the women’s branch of Intamba

The women’s branch of Intamba, the national football team of Burundi, have just qualified for the first time ever for the African Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco in July this year.

It was this Monday, February 21, 2022 that the Djibouti team played against Intamba to fight over this ticket. This second leg match, which was normally to take place in Djibouti, took place at Urukundo stadium in Burundi, requested by Djibouti for lack of stadium that meets the required standards. The match ended with the victory of Burundi with the score of 5 to 0, with two goals from Rukiniya and three goals from Anniella.

As a reminder, the Burundian team had also dominated the first leg, beating Djibouti with 6 goals to 0, making a total of 11 goals for Burundi.
