Olivier Niyungeko Mutombola has been appointed new head coach of the national team’s under 17. This news was revealed in an appointment letter released this friday by the Burundian Football Federation (FFB) and signed by the President of the Federation, Police Brigadier General, Alexandre Muyenge.
Mutombola has the record of having been the first coach to lead the national team to the African Cup of the Nations (CAN) in 2019.
In this new role, he will be assisted by Jean Pierre Gishikizo, currently technical director in the Burundi Football Federation.
