At the national technical centre, the Burundi Football Federation has signed a partnership contract with the communication company operating in Burundi known as Lumitel. This giant of telecommunication is committed to give a sum of about 405 million Burundian francs for a period of three years, or about 135 million each year.
This contract was concluded with the aim of supporting the women’s football team in Burundi. It should benoted that the women’s branch of football will henceforth be known as the Lumitel Women’s League, as confirmed by the President of the Burundi Football Federation, Police Brigadier General Alexandre Muyenge.
