Accompanied by the First Lady and members of his delegation, the President of the Republic of Burundi HE Evariste Ndayishimiye arrived at the international airport Melchior Ndadaye of Bujumbura, this Sunday, September 25, 2022, on his return from a working mission in New York in the United States where he had taken part in the work of the 77th Ordinary Assembly of the United Nations
In an interview granted to the press, the President gave a largely positive assessment of this mission where, on the sidelines of the activities of the 77th Ordinary Assembly of the UN, he had the opportunity to exchange with his counterparts from different countries and / or potential partners in several areas.
“It is a mission that was successful in several aspects, especially that it allowed us to express, through a speech to the Heads of State and Government, our wish that they have in the world, diplomatic relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between all States and international organizations, to better meet global challenges, “he said.
In addition to his counterparts from different countries and the Burundian diaspora in the United States, the Head of State also had the opportunity to meet with representatives of different institutions and international organizations and other American partners and investors, who wish to invest in different areas including agriculture, health, trade, infrastructure and mining.
