August 13, 2022 was the day eagerly awaited by members of the Burundian musicians’ association known as “Amicale des Musiciens” to elect their representative in the Bujumbura branch. In his opening remarks, Ndayishimiye Brighter, current president of the Association at the national level, indicated that branches of the Amicale will soon be established throughout the country.
For the day’s work, Arnovic and Masterland were the only candidates for the position but only Masterland was present while Arnovic was represented. 80 voters were expected but the event saw the participation of 46 voters. 40 participants chose Masterland while 6 preferred Arnovic, which confirmed Masterland as the representative of the Musicians’ Amicale in Bujumbura. Arnovic did not want to be his deputy to complete the committee. Bizzo UWEZO took the opportunity to become his deputy and Pamy Queen became secretary. They have a mandate of 5 years, so until 2027.
