Edith, Big Fizzo’s manager, advocates for visa facilitation for Burundian artists

The scarcity of Burundian songs in local bars and night clubs is a serious issue for Burundian artists, most of them accusing the DJs of corruption and ignoring Burundian music.

According to the Bantu Bwoy manager, currently in Europe, foreign DJs are happy to play Burundian music more than Burundians themselves. It is for this reason that she wishes Burundian artists could be granted visas so as they have the chance to perform these songs in foreign countries.

On her whatsapp status, she wrote: “May God help us. As we see Burundian music popular abroad, it would be wonderful if Burundian singers could get visas and perform these songs themselves”.

This happening while singers and DJs are no in good terms. This explains the rarety of Burundian musicians organizing concerts abroad these days, except Desire Mugani who recently has 2 concerts on the agenda due to take place this March in Europe.
