This Wednesday, August 3, 2022, the former players of Burundi currently residing abroad have animated a press briefing for journalists. These former players, currently members of the Burundian diaspora, wanted to announce the progress of their project to create a support center for orphans in Kajaga, which will be known as AMANI House.
Saidi Ndabaniwe, a former national team player currently residing in Norway, insisted that the main purpose of the center will be to help orphans and unaccompanied children as a contribution to the development of the country. Initially, the infrastructure for this purpose will be able to accommodate 32 children. But Saidi Ndabaniwe said that they will be able to increase the number of beneficiaries if the means allow it.
Amani House will receive only boys to facilitate logistics and girls will be admitted later if possible. Children must be between 10 and 15 years old to be admitted to the center. Among the projects envisaged for the center, there is the creation of a soccer academy and, for this purpose, a committee for the organization and gathering of these children has already been set up.
