After winning last year’s Peace Cup, AS Kigali, the Rwandan team with two Burundian strikers, Hussein Tchabalala and Landry Ndikumana, has won this year’s Super Cup, a trophy disputed between the champions of the Rwandan League and the winners of the Peace Cup.
It was this sunday 14 August at Nyamirambo Regional Stadium in Kigali, where AS Kigali disputed the trophy with APR. Thegame ended with a 0-0 draw and the penalty shooting saw AS Kigali take the Cup with 5 won penalties against 3 for APR FC.
