This Friday, July 29, 2022, a delegation of the Burundian Diaspora Women Commission was received in audience by the First Lady, HE Angeline NDAYISHIMIYE. The delegation was led by the president of the said commission, Mrs. Auriane Itangishaka, surrounded by two other women leaders of the diaspora, namely the vice-president of the commission, Mrs. Christine Marie Ndayisenga and the representative of the diaspora for Europe, in the person of Mrs. Bagenyere Jacqueline.
Among the topics discussed, are the ways and means of collaboration to promote the development of women in Burundi.
Let us recall that this audience was granted the day after the release of 50 women who had been detained in hospitals for lack of means, a charity work carried out on Thursday, July 28, 2022 by the same commission in the framework of supporting Burundian women in development.
As for the First Lady, she did not hide her joy to see a close collaboration between women of the diaspora and those in the country, together for the development of Burundian society.
